Mmmmm good. Juicy tasty beef and pork . I can't remember if they had chicken and sausages, I think so. Picnic sides. Bottle Pop. Perfect sauces. Decent prices for the barbeque crowd. Catering available! Friendly owner. Go early closes early evening. Check hours they can change. Not the best parking. Downtown for those of you who need to eat while there.

Very tasty brisket, didn't need the sauce. Coleslaw was freshly made.

One way to barbeque is slow smoke the meat to tenderness with a wet or dry rub. No basting is done during the smoke. The flavor of the BBQ sauce is important with this type of smoking. Went to this restaurant to try their pork ribs and pulled pork with spicy sauce. We got the brisket torte, medium pulled pork sandwich with spicy sauce, and pork rib platter with coke slaw and potato salad sides. The good things, brisket (beef) torte topped with tomatos, lettuce, avocado, and onions, cole slaw which was used to cut the hotness of the bbq sauce on the pulled pork sandwich, potato salad and the sandwich bread which looked like the bread used in Mexican tortes. Since I am a fan of meats with constant basting to the point that the basting penetrates the meat sufficiently that adding sauce is often not necessary and a smoke ring. Thus, the savoryness of both the ribs and pulled pork was dependent on the sauce which was too hot to enhance the tender but largely bland pork due to how this restaurant smokes its meats. So, if you like tender BBQ with a savory bbq sauce this restaurant should ably satisfy you. For Las Cruces this would NOT be an inexpensive restaurant. For example, full rack of ribs, $23.99, monster 1# cheese burger, $13.99, pulled pork $12/lb.
